Bountiful Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the Bountiful app handles information on your device. By using the app, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Summary
Bountiful is a ledger for the practices you want to keep. You name a practice, log it when it happens, and the app shows you what you have actually been doing. Everything you enter is stored on your device and, if iCloud sync is on, in your own private iCloud account. Studio Spreza does not operate servers that hold your data, and the app makes no network requests of its own.
Data on your device
- Your practices and logs. The practices you create, the instances you log against them, and the rhythm the app derives from those instances are stored on your device.
- Settings. Preferences such as appearance, background, notification choices, and on-device display state are stored on the device.
- Companion surfaces. The Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read the same data on your own device, and logging from a widget or from Shortcuts writes to the same store the app uses.
iCloud sync
Bountiful syncs your data across your own devices using CloudKit and your personal iCloud account. This is on by default, and you can turn it off in the app under Settings. The app shows you which mode it is running in under Storage.
When sync is on, your data is stored in your private iCloud database under your own Apple ID. It is governed by Apple's privacy policy and terms. Studio Spreza has no access to that database and cannot read your synced data. If you turn sync off, or if iCloud is unavailable, the app continues to work on-device.
Optional notifications
Bountiful can send quiet nudges about a practice you asked to be nudged about. These are off unless you turn them on. They are local notifications scheduled on your device by Apple's notification system. No notification content is sent off your device, and there is no push server. You can turn them off in the app or in Settings.
Network use
The app makes no network requests of its own. It has no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party services embedded in it. The only data that leaves your device is the iCloud sync described above, which goes to your own Apple account.
What Studio Spreza does not do
- No Studio Spreza account. No sign-up, no login, no profile.
- No Studio Spreza server holding your app data.
- No analytics, no crash reporting, and no advertising SDKs in the app.
- No access to your calendar, reminders, health data, or location. The app does not ask for any of them.
- No tracking. The app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and does not use App Tracking Transparency for that purpose.
- We do not sell your personal information.
If any of this changes, this policy will be updated and the App Store privacy labels will be updated with it.
Your choices
- iCloud sync. Turn it on or off in the app. You can also manage iCloud for Bountiful in Settings under your Apple ID.
- Notifications. Turn them off in the app or in Settings.
- Your data. Deleting a practice removes it and its instances from the app, and deleting the app removes its on-device data according to iOS behavior. If you used iCloud sync, you can also remove Bountiful's data from your iCloud account in Settings.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed specifically at children under 13. If you believe information has been collected that should be removed, contact us at the address below.
Changes
We may update this policy when the app changes. The date at the top changes when we do. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
